Extraordinary Alien Collection - “Adaptation” Pegasus Sneaker

I’m a Canadian entrepreneur who recently relocated to NYC as an “extraordinary alien” to chase my dreams in design, sports and footwear.

Alien is a term for non-residents, often used as a slur. But this collection reclaims it for good. All global citizens are aliens and extraordinary in different ways. This collection is gender neutral and was also inspired by the ocean as we’ve only explored 5%, making it more “alien” than the moon. I will be making a donation to ACLU to help protect fellow aliens from the proceeds from this collection.

The Pegasus is inspired by the seahorse and how it adapts to the diverse ocean by changing colors and camouflaging itself, much like how aliens in a new country must adapt, but not assimilate fully, to maintain their identity. The gum sole and earth tones symbolize our link to the earth and how the seahorse uses its tail to connect to plants to survive.

The shoes are available from October 15th to October 21st from Cultivator.
