My NBA client Wesley Johnson was looking for a more interesting Crazy 8 to wear on the court during games. I designed and collaborated with JBF Customs to create a pair of 1 of 1 sneakers. We used white python, grey python and white ostrich skins as a nod to both Kobe Bryant (the former signature athlete for the Crazy 8) and to work with multiple Lakers’ jerseys.

The sneakers turned some heads and news of the shoes was covered on websites like Nice Kicks, Complex, Lakers Nation, VIBE, and The Hoops Doctors. Both Wes and JBF Customs went on the Kicks On Court Weekly Recap show to discuss the design process as well.
